Household's make less journeys - Thursday 3 July 2008
A survey has revealed that families are shifting their lifestyle in order to cut down on petrol use.
Driving to the local shops or out-of-town shopping centres has lessened and people are reducing their use of the car for the school run in the face of rising fuel prices and the general higher cost of living. Most respondents blame the government for the high petrol prices.
