Telford tops car-friendly town league - Monday 23 June 2008
A recent survey of the 50 largest towns and cities shows Telford as number one for motorists
Petrol prices, number and cost of car parking and car crime were all in the mix for judging. Bristol was the worst for car parking charges at £5 for two hours. Bottom of the list was Northampton with a high level of crime, poor parking and expensive petrol. Many of the larger towns and cities such as London, Liverpool and Manchester fared poorly in the categories.
