Driver plunges 200ft - Friday 20 June 2008
The wreckage of a Vauxhall Front era was spotted by a yacht crew after they heard the man's shouts for help
The crew immediately alerted the coastguard who sent an emergency rescue ropes team to lower an officer down to the wreckage of the 4x4. The man was found in undergrowth and it is believed he was thrown clear of the vehicle. He had two broken legs and abdominal injuries and was taken to Poole General Hospital to be operated on. The man's dog, a New Zealand sheepdog couldn't be found at the scene but was later found underneath his kitchen table.
