A recent study has found that by driving slower and adopting a smoother driving style can save you £500 a year in fuel costs
The study tested a broad cross section of vehicles fitted with fuel flow meters at Millbrook testing ground and found that by decreasing the speed, changing up gear early, pulling away smoothly and maintain a steady speed all contribute to lower fuel consumption and therefore savings.
