American Roadblock - Thursday 5 June 2008

A motorcycle trade show at Lake George in New York is being targeted by state police to trap visitors

The event is expected to receive 50,000 visitors. Already police have stopped motorcyclists as an opportunity to issue tickets for road traffic offences.

15 tickets for unapproved helmets
9 for modified exhausts
4 for no motorcycle endorsement
20 for other minor offences
7 car owners for no seatbelt

A police helicopter has been hovering above the roadblock to discourage visitors from avoiding a police search.
