Top Gear, Aussie style - Saturday 31 May 2008
After 4,000 applications and months of screen tests and interviews the team to host the Australian version of Top Gear has been announced
Charlie Cox, Steve Pizzati and Warren Brown, all between their mid-thirties and late forties, will host the show. The three presenters are all journalists as well as keen car lovers. There was a US version planned for the states, but it was put on hold over worries that the unique style of the British Top Gear couldn't be replicated. The show is to be aired later this year on the SBS network. As for the Stig, who knows...?
