Driving with a mobile on the up

Disturbing research show mobile phone use whilst driving may be on the increase

Halfords conducted a survey of 2083 motorists, it found the following:

35% admitted to reading text messages
57% of under 25 drivers admitted to reading text messages
19% used the internet on their phones
53% would look to see who is calling them
45% would look to see who a text is from
1,562 of the respondents said that the Police should be enforcing the law

The punishment for driving whilst using a mobile phone is 3 points and £60 fine. Depending on the circumstances, you may find yourself being charged for dangerous or careless driving and if there is a fatal accident involved from the use of a mobile phone, this could turn into manslaughter charges.
