Driving test cheats

In a Freedom of Information request, it has been found that 5 learner drivers a day try to cheat at passing their driving test

The Driving Standards Agency released the figures after the FoI request from The Sun newspaper. They showed that between 2011 and 2012, 1469 theory and 455 practical tests were carried out involving an impersonator, on average that’s 5 tests a day.

During that period Police arrested 273 suspects which lead to 73 actual convictions, 837 licences being revoked and 119 cautions. Twelve learners actually threatened an examiner with physical violence.
