Spanish motorway speed limit decreased

Spain has reduced the legal speed limit on its motorways

The reduction, from 120kph (75mph) to 110kph (68mph) is to reduce the countries reliance on oil. In addition rail fares will be reduced by 5% and bio fuel / petrol minimum blend percentage will be raised. Spanish Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso joked about the speed limit change, saying, “it will be hard to stay awake”.
