More money to repair winter potholes

The Government has provided more than £100 million to local authorities for the repair of damaged roads

It is the responsibility of local councils to maintain the condition of their road network. Already £831 million has been set aside for road repairs this year, with an extra £3 billion over the next four years. The extra funds will be distributed to councils on a priority based on the amount and condition of roads a council is responsible for.
