Speeding Ticket?
The most common instance where Notice is served is an NIP for speeding. There is an NIP time limit that applies of 14 days from the offence. I have just been told I face an £80.00 fine at Luton airport for getting confused and driving the wrong way up a one way road trying to find the disabled parking bays. apart from the fine, will I also receive penalty points on my licence as I understand the airport is classified as a Private Road.?
Hi Trevor, It would be unlikely that you will receive penalty points on your licence but please check the paperwork you have been given as it should state whether or not penalty points could be applied.
If you have received the notification from the police that they are going to fine you then it would be something we could advise you on. If however the notification came from the local council then this falls into civil law which is unfortunately not our area of legal expertise – we are criminal law.
