Internet dashboards next driving distraction

The latest developments by Intel and Google to include digital displays in vehicles are the next driver distraction according to the IAM

Internet screens built into the console of cars that display information such as maps, internet pages and even video feeds are being developed by large electronics and internet companies. The Institute of Advanced Motorists say that the increase in information being fed to a driver could be dangerous and may distract motorists from the task of actually driving a vehicle, in a similar way mobile phones do. One particular device has a warning notice on it stating “Please only use the online services when traffic conditions allow you to do so safely”.
